Setting Up Your Business For Success

In this week’s episode, I am joined by Andrea Wise, a business strategy consultant, who speaks to us about certain tips she has for entrepreneurs in today’s day and age.

She starts out by pointing out that entrepreneurs tend to place a lot of importance on irrelevant details and should instead be focusing on creating the right systems for your business. Andrea also talks about the importance of being fluid and ready to adapt to a changing business world as we never know just what tomorrow will bring. We also discuss how to set up goals and set up plans to bring them to completion. 

There are many changes you and your business might have to go through as your business grows and the importance of being in contact with people who can guide you and mentor you. Andrea also reminds us that we do not have to do it all ourselves, and getting help is part of the growth process.

”Real Talk” With Jess & Gian

In this episode, I am joined by Gian Saunders, aka the Fierce Female Financier. She is an award-winning financial consultant working at the World Financial Group and speaks to us today about her story and her journey to success. Gian talks about the hardship and struggle that led her to where she is today and reminds us that “mistakes are not a bad thing” because they involve actions rather than doing nothing. She then goes on to discuss her start in finance and being introduced to the language and world of financial literacy. Gian also mentions how becoming financially literate begins in one’s mindset and is the key foundation in establishing wealth. She continues to explain the importance of reading, being loving, honest, positive, and growing your network because that is what your net worth is truly made of.

In this episode, I speak with Eric Rias, a life coach who is also an Interventionist and the owner of BigMood, a group for mental health and sober advocacy. We had a great discussion about how to perform the jobs in our lives and the work that needs to be done internally when doing so. Communication & self-development are huge when it comes to this. When we can commit to ourselves to do the transformation, the results can be seen in all aspects of ones life and relationships.

As we went around speaking, we got on the topic of Money and making wise decisions when it comes to spending it. Financial literacy and awareness is so important, especially when growing your own business.

Many of us, including myself, work to now change their money stories from the past and what we learned about money growing up. I’m sure you’ve heard the term “money doesn’t grow on trees”. It’s time to kick that mentality and move into financial abundance!

Surrounding yourself with people who are in that abundance mindset is key when working on changing those stories.

Ready Is A Lie

How many times have you waited until you felt like you were ready? In this solo episode, I talk about how many times I've heard so many people tell me that they're not ready for what they planned to do. Thinking that you need to know everything first, thinking that you need to have it all figured out first. The fact is, whatever you do have already, whatever education you’ve already completed, whatever story you share, is always enough to start up! When we doubt ourselves like this, when we’re always thinking we’re not yet ready, it starts to take over and make us feel small. Give yourself some space to embody what it would be like if you are already doing it and then taking the action steps to do the things will show amazing results!

Self-Care For The Holidays

With the holidays being just around the corner, in this solo episode, I want to drop a friendly reminder to everyone. We've been busy the whole year, and get especially busy this last portion of the year. There’s nothing wrong with being super busy, but we need to make sure we’re getting our rest and taking care of ourselves too. We tend to put ourselves on the back-burner which can take a toll on us. Burnout can come in lots of disguises. Remember to take a pause, if you need to recharge; you deserve it. Don’t forget your boundaries too! You're fully in control of yourself so remember to put your well-being first. Sending lots of love during this Holiday Season!

In this episode, I speak with Lindsey Means who was a Former Hairstylist for more than 10 Years, and now, she is a Human Design Expert, and Coach + Educator, who teaches about human design. For those of you who may not know what human design is, it’s an energetic blueprint and it’s like an operation manual for your mind and body which helps you become aware of your energy and how to utilize it. All too often we feel like we don’t fit in or we try fit in a “box”. When we are able to use human design to explain how we feel, it does bring those “Aha Moments” to realize, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with us for not fitting in.

Okay….so why are finances such a sore subject? 

Maybe it’s because no one really teaches us the ins and outs of finances and how to manage them in our business! Today, I am talking with Michelle Cook who is a CPA that specializes in working with the beauty industry! She is one of us who started as a hairstylist and has now transitioned from behind the chair to becoming a very successful CPA.

She, like most of us, was not comfortable with numbers. She really didn’t know the right direction to go when it came to nailing down her finances. Lucky for you, she now has a wealth of knowledge and is so excited to share all of it with fellow business owners like herself.
