400 episodes.
Almost six years behind this microphone.
And the biggest thing I know now? Starting over does not mean starting from zero.
There is something incredibly humbling about becoming a beginner again when you already know what it feels like to be successful. You’ve built the career. You’ve made the money. You’ve earned the reputation. You know what it feels like to walk into a room and know exactly what the fuck you’re doing.
Then you decide you want something different.
Suddenly you’re comparing chapter one of your new life to chapter twenty of the one you already mastered, wondering why you aren’t better at this yet.
In this milestone episode, I’m talking about what six years and 400 episodes have taught me about starting again, building authority, staying in the game when nobody is clapping yet, and giving your work enough time to actually compound.
Because compounding rarely feels impressive while it’s happening. It feels like recording another episode, posting another piece of content, walking into another room, having another conversation and continuing to show up when you have very little evidence that any of it is working.
Until one day, you look around and realize it did.
This weekend, I got to experience one of those moments.
And it reminded me that consistency doesn’t just build an audience.
Consistency builds options.
If you’re in the middle of a career pivot, building a personal brand, stepping into a new industry, starting a podcast, or wondering whether you’re too late to become known for something new, this episode is for you.
You may be new here.
But you are not new.
Everything you’ve lived comes with you.
400 down. 3,600 to go.
I’ll see you at 4,000.

Here's why the Best Investments Rarely Make Sense at First
You've probably heard the phrase, "Your network is your net worth."
But I think it's deeper than that.
Looking back at nearly 400 podcast episodes, every major opportunity in my life can be traced back to one decision: walking into a room I almost didn't.
In this solo episode, I'm reflecting on the mentors, conversations, investments, and relationships that completely changed the trajectory of my life and business.
Because what changed me wasn't another strategy.
It was proximity.
In this episode, I share:
- Why almost every breakthrough in my business started with one courageous decision
- How mentors helped me see possibilities I couldn't see on my own
- Why proximity is often more valuable than information
- The investments that felt irresponsible before they became life-changing
- The story behind nearly 400 podcast episodes
- Why I created House of Influence
- The question you should ask yourself before saying "maybe next year"
If you've been waiting until you feel ready to invest in yourself, start your podcast, launch your business, or step into a bigger room...
This is your reminder that confidence usually comes after the decision.
Sometimes the life you're dreaming about is just one room away.

Sometimes the biggest thing standing between you and the life you want isn't fear... it's the story you've gotten really good at believing.
In this episode, I sat down with my longtime friend and mentor, Lindsey Marie, for one of the most honest conversations we've ever had about growth, visibility, self-expression, and the sneaky ways we keep ourselves playing small.
In this episode, we talk about:
- The difference between fear and what Lindsey calls the "cute quit."
- Why feeling restless might actually be your soul asking you to grow.
- How community can change the trajectory of your life and business.
- What happens when you stop waiting until you're "ready."
- Why your first idea doesn't have to be your forever path.
- The surprising role style and self-expression play in confidence.
- How healing can quietly turn into hiding if you're not paying attention.
- Why your biggest breakthrough is usually waiting on the other side of discomfort.
- The power of borrowing belief until you fully trust yourself.
If you've been sitting on an idea, waiting for the perfect time, or wondering if you're really meant for more... maybe this is the conversation you've been needing.
Because sometimes the next version of you is just one brave decision away.

What if the discomfort you've been feeling isn't a sign you're on the wrong path, but proof you're growing into the life you've been asking for?
In this episode, I share about something we don't hear enough in entrepreneurship IMO: building the capacity to hold more success without letting overwhelm convince us we're failing… I’m sure you can relate.
In this episode, we talk about:
- Why bigger opportunities naturally come with bigger emotions
- The difference between building more strategy and building more capacity
- How business exposes the patterns that are quietly holding you back
- Why consistency matters more than chasing the next algorithm or trend
- The role community, coaching, and mentorship play when growth gets uncomfortable
- How identity work helps you become the person your next level requires
- Why confidence isn't something you wait for, it's something you build by showing up
- A simple question to ask yourself when overwhelm starts creeping in
Maybe this season isn't asking you to do more. Maybe it's simply asking you to become more. Because the woman who can hold the life she's been praying for isn't built overnight, she's built one brave decision at a time.

You've read the books.
You've listened to the podcasts.
You've invested in yourself.
So why do you still feel stuck?
In this episode, I sit down with somatic practitioner Jalena Tesanovich for an honest conversation about nervous system healing, self-abandonment, childhood conditioning, and why lasting transformation starts from within.
Together, we explore why so many high-achieving women learn to override their intuition, ignore what their bodies are trying to tell them, and unknowingly repeat the same patterns in their relationships, businesses, and everyday lives.
In this episode, we discuss:
- Why so many successful women stop trusting themselves without even realizing it
- How constantly putting yourself last can eventually show up in your body
- The connection between childhood experiences, nervous system patterns, and the way we show up as adults
- What Somatic Experiencing is—and why it's different from the "nervous system reset" advice all over social media
- Why people-pleasing, perfectionism, and over-functioning are often survival strategies
- The surprising power of slowing down instead of constantly pushing through
- How learning the language of your body can help you make more aligned decisions in every area of your life
If you've been wondering why you keep repeating the same patterns, saying yes when you want to say no, or feeling disconnected from yourself despite doing "all the work," this conversation is going to meet you exactly where you are.
Because the next level of your life isn't built by abandoning yourself one more time.
It's built by finally listening.

What if the thing you're chasing isn't actually what you need?
This week, I had one of those moments that completely shifted how I think about personal branding, content, and the opportunities we spend so much time trying to create.
In this episode, I talk about:
- Why visibility and trust are not the same thing
- The mindset shift that changed how I think about personal branding
- Why your reputation matters more than your follower count
- How opportunities are built long before they arrive
- The difference between making content decisions and reputation decisions
- Why collaboration will always outperform competition
- The one question I believe every entrepreneur should answer: What do I actually want to become known for?
- How building authority creates an "inbound life" where opportunities start finding you
Your reputation isn't built overnight. It's built one conversation, one decision, and one act of consistency at a time. The opportunities you're hoping for may already be on their way, you just have to keep becoming the person they're looking for.

I thought I was recording an episode about podcast pitching.
Instead, it turned into a conversation about something so much bigger.
After thinking through a few ideas that had been coming together for me lately, I realized why so many podcast pitches miss the mark. It's not because people aren't qualified or don't have a great story. It's because they're focused on pitching themselves instead of pitching a conversation.
And honestly, this goes far beyond podcasting.
I see entrepreneurs making this mistake all the time. We spend so much time talking about what we do that we forget to explain why it matters. We lead with the podcast, the book, the coaching program, or the business, when what people really care about is where those things can help them get.
If you're trying to grow your personal brand, get invited onto more podcasts, or create more opportunities for yourself, I think this episode will give you a different way to think about authority and visibility.
In This Episode:
- Why most podcast pitches never get a response
- The difference between pitching yourself and pitching a conversation
- The mistake entrepreneurs make when talking about their work
- Why people care more about the outcome than your credentials
- Three questions to ask yourself before trying to get more visibility
After you listen, send me a DM on Instagram @thejessicaburgioshow and tell me one podcast you've always wanted to be a guest on. Maybe this is the week you finally hit send.

What if the thing holding you back isn't your strategy... but the version of yourself you're still trying to protect?
In this episode, I'm sharing one of my most personal conversations yet and the shifts that completely changed the way I think about building a personal brand, showing up online, and creating the life I actually want.
In this episode:
- Why your biggest obstacle probably isn't your business
- How fear of judgment keeps us playing smaller than we're meant to
- The surprising connection between my past and the work I'm doing today
- Why your experiences are your greatest advantage, not something to hide
- What "building in public" really means
- How to stop waiting until you feel more confident, qualified, or ready
- The one question I want you to ask yourself before this episode ends
Your past isn't something you're meant to carry forever. It's something you're meant to build from. The moment you stop hiding is the moment everything starts to change.

Sometimes the life that looks “successful” on paper still feels completely wrong.
In this episode, I’m sitting down with my longtime friend Megan to talk about career pivots, sobriety, strength training, entrepreneurship, and what it actually looks like to walk away from something that’s working… to build something that feels aligned.
We talk about:
- Leaving a thriving beauty business behind
• The quiet signs that something isn’t meant for you anymore
• How fitness became part of Megan’s healing journey
• Sobriety, self-worth, and learning to trust yourself again
• Why mentorship and community matter so much during big life shifts
• The reality of starting over when everyone thinks you already “made it”
• Building confidence through consistency, not perfection
• The difference between looking strong and feeling strong
If you’ve been feeling stuck, disconnected, or like life is trying to nudge you in a different direction… this conversation is for you.
Sometimes the scariest pivots end up becoming the most aligned chapters of your life.

What happens when the life you worked so hard to build no longer feels aligned?
In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Kelly Alhooie to talk about identity shifts, entrepreneurship, intuition, and the terrifying, but necessary, decision to walk away from a life that looked successful on paper.
In this episode, we talk about:
- Building a multi 7-figure business from scratch during COVID
- The moment Kelly realized success wasn’t enough anymore
- Why women struggle to give themselves permission to pivot
- The fear of leaving behind money, status, and certainty
- Entrepreneurship, loneliness, and finding aligned community
- The power of getting in the right rooms
- Investing in mentorship before you feel “ready”
- How stress, burnout, and misalignment show up physically
- Letting go of friendships that no longer fit your growth
- Following your intuition even when nobody understands it
This conversation is for the woman who knows deep down she’s meant for more… but is scared to make the leap.
Sometimes the next version of you requires letting go of the version everyone else got comfortable with.
