If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing all the marketing things, posting on social media, sending emails, tweaking your website, but still wondering why it’s not translating into real business growth… this episode is for you.
Today I’m joined by Sarah Gemmell, a psychology-based marketing consultant and strategist who helps entrepreneurs stop doing random marketing tasks and start building strategic marketing ecosystems that actually work.
Sarah has helped over 1,200 businesses in the past 10 years move away from chaotic marketing and into clear, profitable strategies they can rely on, even when their calendars fill up.
In this conversation, we unpack why effort alone isn’t the problem. The real issue? Most entrepreneurs don’t have a marketing strategy, they just have marketing activity.
We talk about how to shift from guessing to intentional marketing so you can consistently bring in visibility, leads, and clients.
In this episode, we talk about:
- The difference between random marketing vs. strategic marketing
- Why posting every day isn’t what grows your business
- The marketing task most entrepreneurs avoid (but desperately need)
- Why social media shouldn’t be your only lead generation strategy
- How to build a marketing ecosystem that moves people from discovery to client
- Why messaging, not effort, is usually the real problem
- What to focus on if you’re starting a business with zero audience
- The truth about going viral (and why it doesn’t equal sales)
- Why Facebook groups and Threads are still powerful for visibility
- How to approach outreach and networking without sounding spammy
One of my favorite takeaways from Sarah
“In marketing, it’s not about what you want to say.
It’s about what your audience needs to hear.”
That line alone is a reminder that the most effective marketing always starts with understanding your audience, not just creating content and hoping it lands.

Last week in Episode 376, Jessica broke down a hard truth:
Confidence isn’t the problem. Structure is.
In this follow-up episode, she goes deeper into the next step — frameworks.
If you want to speak with authority in your podcast, personal brand, sales conversations, or membership, you need a clear way to organize what you already know.
Because most women don’t have a knowledge problem.
They have an organization problem.
In this episode, Jessica explains:
- What a framework actually is (and why it’s not complicated)
- How to turn your lived experience into something repeatable
- Why people won’t refer you if they can’t repeat what you do
- The difference between sounding inspirational and sounding credible
- How clarity leads to visibility, referrals, and structured income
- Why clear ideas move faster in today’s online space
If you’ve ever struggled to answer the question, “What do you actually help people with?” — this episode is for you.
Jessica walks you through a practical exercise to:
- Identify recurring patterns you see
- Create a simple signature framework
- Define common mistakes in your niche
- Articulate the shift that changes results
Because in an oversaturated online world, being loud won’t make you stand out.
Being clear will.
If you’re building a podcast, membership, coaching business, or personal brand and want to become known for something specific — this episode will help you refine your thinking and elevate your authority.
Go back and listen to Episode 376 first if you haven’t already. These two episodes together are your clarity reset.

Confidence Isn’t the Problem — Structure Is
Thursday Mar 05, 2026
Thursday Mar 05, 2026
You don’t need more confidence.
You need more structure.
In this episode of The Jessica Burgio Show, Jessica breaks down why so many smart, high-performing women struggle to sound authoritative in their podcast, personal brand, or coaching business — and why the issue isn’t confidence at all.
It’s clarity.
If you’re building a podcast, growing a personal brand, starting a membership, or positioning yourself as a leader, the way you structure your thinking matters more than how loud, polished, or “confident” you sound.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Why authority comes from structure — not tone
- How vague language like “I think” and “I feel like” weakens your message
- The difference between sounding inspired and sounding credible
- How to organize your ideas so people actually trust and remember you
- Why structured content performs better on social media, podcasts, and search
- How clarity builds authority faster than confidence ever will
Jessica shares real examples from her own content strategy, personal brand growth, and coaching experience — including how structured visibility has directly impacted her podcast downloads and social media traction in 2026.
If you’ve been:
- Overthinking your content
- Struggling to articulate what you actually do
- Posting consistently but not seeing traction
- Wondering why your message isn’t landing
This episode will help you shift from soft, vague delivery to clear, structured leadership.
Because in today’s world — clarity travels.
Vague ideas don’t.
Listen now and learn how to speak with authority in your podcast, content, sales conversations, and business — without becoming someone you’re not.

Thursday Feb 19, 2026
Last week’s visibility episode sparked so many conversations, so today I’m sharing the reminder so many of you needed: keep showing up, even when no one’s clapping.
If you’ve ever launched something, promoted an offer, or put yourself out there and heard crickets, this episode is for you. I’m talking about staying visible, trusting your path, and showing up authentically instead of looking outside yourself for validation.
In this episode, I share:
- Why you need to keep showing up even without immediate results
- What to do when your offers aren’t converting
- Navigating seasons of uncertainty and trial-and-error in business
- Authentic marketing vs. inauthentic “bro marketing”
- Letting go of comparison and reconnecting with your true voice
At the end of the day, your job isn’t to wait for permission, applause, or perfect timing. It’s to stay consistent, stay aligned, and trust that the right people will find you when you keep showing up as your authentic self.
Ways to work with me:
- Cabo Mastermind Retreat (April 12–16) an intimate, curated experience to reconnect, gain clarity, and build your next 90-day roadmap
- House of Influence - my upcoming 6-month mastermind launching after Cabo

The Cost of Playing Small: Why Visibility Is Non-Negotiable
Thursday Feb 12, 2026
Thursday Feb 12, 2026
There are seasons where life feels heavy… and you still show up anyway. This episode is a real-time reminder that growth doesn’t wait for perfect conditions. It rewards consistency, courage, and your willingness to put yourself in the room, even when no one is clapping yet.
Today I’m pulling back the curtain on what visibility actually looks like after years of showing up, posting, recording, leading, and staying in the game, even when it felt quiet, uncomfortable, or slow. Because let’s be honest… it’s not about the how anymore. We can Google that. We can ChatGPT that.
It’s about the who.
Who you’re becoming.
Who you choose to be when no one is watching.
I’m sharing what’s driving the recent growth on my social platforms, why more eyes truly equals more opportunities, and how visibility has directly led to new podcast invites, speaking opportunities, and aligned conversations, not because something went viral, but because I kept showing up long before it was cool, easy, or profitable.
We talk about:
- Why playing small costs you more than showing up ever will
- The difference between staying busy vs. doing needle-moving work
- How to treat your presence like it actually matters
- Why authenticity > perfection (always)
- What real leadership looks like when you don’t feel like it
- How to identify which actions are actually moving you closer to your goals
- The mindset shift from “strategy first” to “identity first”
If you’ve been waiting for confidence, clarity, or perfect timing before you go all in… this episode is your nudge. You don’t need another complicated plan. Sometimes the most powerful strategy is simply deciding to be seen.
Your voice matters.
Your experience matters.
Your presence matters.
And the world can’t benefit from what you keep hidden.
If you’re loving the evolution of the show, please subscribe, leave a rating and review, and share this episode with someone who needs the reminder.
If you’re seeking mentorship, visibility support, or want to explore upcoming experiences like Entrepreneur Success Series events or the Cabo Retreat, send me a message — I’d love to connect.
You don’t have to be perfect.
You just have to be present.
See you in the next one. 💫

Today’s episode is a special one because I finally convinced my husband, Scott, to join me on the podcast. 😅 We’re pulling back the curtain on what it’s really taken to build a strong, healthy relationship while navigating long distance, entrepreneurship, corporate life, blended family dynamics, and personal growth.
Scott has been one of my biggest supporters behind the scenes since the early days of this show, and we talk openly about trust, communication, Human Design, being teammates, and learning how to grow together instead of growing apart.
If you’re building a relationship, a business, or both, this conversation will feel like a deep breath and a reminder that you don’t have to do it alone.
In This Episode, We Cover:
- Making long-distance marriage work
- Building real trust and intentional communication
- Entrepreneur vs. corporate mindset differences
- Human Design dynamics in relationships
- Blending families and supporting a teenager
- Why self-trust comes before trusting others
Building anything meaningful takes intention, honesty, and a willingness to look at yourself just as much as you look at the other person. There is no perfect formula, only two people choosing to communicate, evolve, and keep showing up.
My hope is that this episode reminds you that you’re allowed to grow in seasons, change your mind, ask for support, and define success on your own terms. Whether that’s in love, business, family, or all of the above.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be willing to keep moving forward. 💛

This Is the Season of Ownership
Thursday Jan 29, 2026
Thursday Jan 29, 2026
This episode wasn’t recorded in my studio.
It wasn’t on Riverside.
It wasn’t perfect.
And that’s the point.
Clarity doesn’t wait for perfect conditions.
This conversation kicks off a brand-new chapter of the podcast and introduces what I’m calling the Season of Ownership. A season that isn’t about hustling harder, forcing outcomes, or manifesting faster… but about telling the truth about where you are, raising your standards, and owning the season you’re in without making yourself wrong for it.
I’m sharing what this season looks like for me, identity shifts, family challenges, slowing momentum, simplifying, protecting my energy, and getting radically honest about what no longer fits.
Some seasons aren’t about speed.
They’re about stripping things down.
They’re about becoming.
Inside this episode:
- Why foggy seasons are often identity-shift seasons
- Ownership vs. control
- Letting people walk their own path
- Raising standards instead of doing more
- Protecting your peace, nervous system, and energy
If you feel stuck, tired, or between versions of yourself… you’re not broken.
You’re becoming.
Welcome to The Jessica Burgio Show.
This is the Season of Ownership.
And we’re just getting started.

Okay, so we’re bringing this one BACK.
This episode was one of the highest-downloaded episodes of 2025, and with so many new listeners stepping into the Unscripted community, it felt like the perfect time to re-upload this conversation for 2026. If you’ve already listened… listen again. If this is your first time here, WELCOME. This one hits differently.
In this episode, I’m breaking down why podcasting has been the single biggest catalyst for my growth, personally, professionally, financially, energetically… all of it. Truly. Podcasting changed my network, my confidence, my opportunities, and the way I see what’s possible for my life and business.
I’m sharing the exact mindset shifts and lessons I wish I had embraced sooner. From starting before you feel ready, to using your voice as a long-term asset, to positioning yourself as a thought leader without needing permission or a massive following first
We talk about:
- Why you don’t “suck”, you’re just a beginner (and that’s allowed)
- How podcasting builds the strongest personal brand possible
- Why authenticity isn’t optional anymore, it’s your edge
- The power of guesting for reach, credibility, and community
- How consistency (not perfection) is what actually creates momentum
- Why podcasting opens doors you didn’t even know existed yet
If you’ve ever felt called to share your voice, build something bigger than your current role, or create opportunities that future-you will thank you for. This episode is your nudge.
This is for the multi-passionate creatives.
The service providers ready to expand.
The entrepreneurs who know there’s more.
And if you’re sitting there thinking, “I don’t want a podcast… but something about this feels relevant” Trust me. Listen anyway.
I see you. I’m proud of you. And I promise, your voice matters more than you think.
Let’s dive in. 💥

You Can’t Build a New Life From an Old Identity
Thursday Jan 01, 2026
Thursday Jan 01, 2026
You can’t build a new life from an old identity — and most people keep trying anyway.
In this first episode of 2026, Jess breaks down the real reason so many women feel “stuck,” inconsistent, or perpetually on the edge of their next level: they’re asking for new outcomes while protecting an old version of themselves.
This isn’t a motivational reset.
It’s an identity activation.
We talk about:
- Why confidence is built through action, not mindset
- How waiting for the “right time” quietly kills momentum
- The difference between potential and embodiment
- Why your current circumstances don’t get to decide your future
- The question that should guide your actions every single day in 2026
If you’ve done the journaling, listened to the podcasts, and still feel like something hasn’t clicked yet — this episode is the missing piece.
This is your permission to stop waiting.
To move differently.
To become the woman you keep saying you’re ready to be.
If this episode hit — if something in you feels activated but not fully mobilized yet — this is your moment to stop trying to figure it out alone.
I’m opening a 3-month private container for women who are ready to stop circling their next level and start living it.
This is for you if:
- you know you’re capable of more but haven’t moved yet
- you’re done waiting for confidence to show up first
- you want clarity, momentum, and accountability — not more content
Inside this container, we focus on identity, visibility, action, and execution so you leave with real movement, not just insight.
This isn’t about motivation.
It’s about becoming the woman who moves when she decides.

The 2026 Visibility Formula: Exactly How to be Seen, Heard, and Paid Next Year
Thursday Dec 25, 2025
Thursday Dec 25, 2025
This is the final episode in our four-part confidence series, and today is all about activation.
Because here’s the truth I want you to hear loud and clear:
Confidence is not a personality trait. It’s a result.
And that result comes from taking action… consistently.
If you’ve listened to episodes one through three, you’ve already done the hardest work. You told the truth. You clarified your vision. You identified your boundaries, non-negotiables, and what no longer fits. Now it’s time to move. Because clarity without movement changes nothing.
In this episode, I’m walking you through exactly how to turn clarity into momentum as we head into 2026 without burnout, without perfection, and without waiting to feel “ready.”
Here’s what we dive into:
Why confidence is built through reps, not motivation
You don’t wake up confident. You earn it by showing up again and again, even when it’s uncomfortable, messy, or imperfect. Visibility works the same way. Momentum dies the moment consistency disappears.
Why consistency is the real momentum creator
Motivation comes and goes. Consistency is non-negotiable. Whatever level of consistency you’re willing to commit to is the speed at which your life and business will grow.
Choosing where you’ll be visible in 2026
You don’t need to be everywhere. You need to be intentional. I walk you through how to choose:
- One primary visibility platform
- One secondary platform
And how to stack them in a way that actually builds trust, authority, and a personal brand you own.
Visibility pathways that actually work
We talk through different ways to be seen and how to choose what aligns with your strengths:
- Hosting your own podcast
- Guesting on other people’s podcasts
- Speaking on stages or panels
- Writing and thought leadership
- Hosting events or building community (online or in person)
Visibility isn’t about copying someone else’s strategy. It’s about choosing a lane you can stay in.
Why non-negotiables are identity anchors, not resolutions
Your non-negotiables are the micro-actions that create momentum. They are how your future identity becomes real. Not someday, but now.
I ask you to reflect on:
- What would the future version of me do every single week without fail?
Those actions become your anchors.
The power of support and why you can’t do this alone
If you want to go far, you need support. Mentors, community, accountability, being supported means being resourced. And resourced women are unstoppable.
When you’re supported, you’re less likely to quit. You stay in the game. And that changes everything.
Journal prompts I leave you with:
- What are my three non-negotiables for January?
- What visibility action am I taking first?
- What will keep me consistent when motivation drops?
- Who do I need support from in 2026?
- What identity am I activating today?
Because identity is something you can turn on. And it’s time.
This episode, and this entire series, is your reminder that you are closer than you think. You don’t need a new year to begin again. You just need to choose to show up.
This is your year to be seen.
Let’s go.
